Nashville, Tennessee (where the National Prayer Registry is located) has just gone through a flood that many are calling a 1,000 year flood.  Although all of us at the Prayer Registry are fortunate to be safe, many families in Middle Tennessee were less fortunate.  Thousands have experienced deep personal losses from the trauma associated with being stranded and surrounded by water, cut off from power and communications.  Larger numbers suffered financial loss, either through their businesses or personal possessions damaged by the flood. 

There have been deaths and injuries caused by the flood and tornadoes, each one of them a tragedy, but we have been very blessed that the losses were not as extensive as they could have been.

Please keep these families who have experienced loss and trauma in your prayers and say a special prayer for healing and recovery.
