Good Friday - Wow! How blessed we are!

WOW (means without words) - That is how His death can leave you when you think about what He did for you.  Speechless!

At 6am this morning I gathered with a small group of men to study God's Word, pray and share communion.  We read through the Luke passage remembering why we celebrate His death.  Celebrate seems like a strange word to use except that we understand the deeper meaning of what and why we celebrate.  Without his dying for our sins we would have no hope at all.  One man in the group is going to view the movie with his wife this weekend - Passion of the Christ.  You can view it on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/verify_age?next_url=http%3A//www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DDue3iUlaoX4

Another man in the group will sing in the Tenebrae Service:  This special service, meaning, "The Darkening", is a dramatic choral presentation of Christ's life and crucifixion and is totally scripture put to music.

Great ideas for 'celebrating' and 'remembering' what He went through for us.  He loves us so much and demonstrated that for us with the greatest sacrifice - His life.

Two of many great passages to read today are Luke 22-23 and Hebrews 9:11-22

What are your thoughts on these passages??

What are you doing to celebrate and remember what He did for you?  Would you share it with us so others could be encouraged to do the same?

Let God arise and His enemies be scattered!

I believe each day should be a celebration when we wake up again because we would not be here were it not for our Lord. When I get up and I have been diagnosed with an incurable illness called Fibromyalgia, I thank the Lord for the new day he has given me to get a second chance to do better for him than I did the day before. I thank Him for my salvation and thank Him for taking a cross that was meant for me. Like the song says, Had it not been for a man called Jesus, then forever my soul would be lost. I thank Him that He suffered and bled all His life's blood for me and I apologize to Him for some folks taking the blood out of their hymnbooks. If you take away the blood bought sacrifice He gave for all, you take away the atonement for all our sins. I thank Him and I celebrate a King who would love me enough to die for me when He paid a debt He didn't owe for a debt I could never have paid. I might better stop, but I celebrate Jesus with what little voice I have left, I took the shingles and it took my voice, I can sing a lil bit but not like I used to. Oops I said I would stop have a tendency to overshare and also have adhd with a mind going 90 miles an hour. Today may everyone who reads this, begin to treat each new day as a new time to celebrate and thank and praise and worship the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the Holy Lamb of God who was slain for us all! Glory be to the name, love and blood of Jesus! May God richly bless all who sign up to be Prayer Warriors, I am blessed because that is what I was called to be! Thank you Jesus! + <3 It was love that held our Savior to that old rugged cross, nails did not hold him there! Love only His great Love!
