Revival begins with me - yes!

Praying for revival is essential but I realize that it begins with asking God to begin it with me.  Lord, examine my heart and show me the things you need to right in me.  I don't want to me introspective.  I want your Holy Spirit to show me your ways. 

You have said in John 15 that apart from you I could do nothing.  Each day you bring that to my mind and my heart.  Thank you Lord for keeping that in front of me.  My flesh wants to cry out like the two year old in me - "I can do it myself" but you are so gracious to remind me that you are there for me and that I not only can't do it but that you want me to depend on you and have you direct, control and empower me.  Thank you, thank you, thank you. 

I realize that you will bring revival and I draw a circle around me and say please Lord begin it with me.  I do pray Lord for each of my fellow prayer warriors that you would begin it with each of us and that the fire would break out in us so that it cannot be contained.  Please Lord let it spread from seas to shining sea.  We want you to be glorified with our total dependence on you.  We love you Lord.  Please increase our love for you and others every day.

Yes, I agree revival begins with me. The Lord humbly brought me back to basics thru the book of Haggai which reprimanded me that I was not prospering because I was about my business, NOT His! Haggai 1:6 - "You have sown much, but harvest little; you eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied; you drink, but there is not enough to become drunk; you put on clothing, but no one is warm enough; and he who earns, earns wages to put into a purse with holes. Haggai 1:9 - "You look for much, but behold, it comes to little; when you bring it home, I blow it away. Why?, declares the Lord of hosts, "Because of My house which lies desolate, while each of you runs to his own house." Boy, that was me!!! Working so hard and nothing to show for it. Toil, toil, toil,... and for what? I had literally used the phrase," It's like my pockets have holes." With further prayer and meditation it is clear that we are to LEARN TO DEPEND ON HIM. It's back to basics to build that good, strong foundation that the gates of hell cannot prevail against! America is in deep darkness but, His light is the cure. He is love. With His help I am in the process of de-programming my workaholicness and becoming the spiritual human He wants me to be. It's working...He has softened, strengthened and provided for me this past year as He would for anybody who asks Him. Surrender to His love. Depend on Him to tune your ear to His will. He will again have AMERICA BE ONE NATION UNDER GOD!!!! AMEN!
