Upcoming Advent Series

The word “Advent” is derived from the Latin word, “Adventus” which means, coming. During the season of Advent, we are called to remember the coming of Christ.

During this season of advent NPR wants you to join with is in the journey to re-explore, or perhaps explore for the first time, the glorious gift of salvation come down as a child and King.

Over the next 4 weeks, we pray you would glean truth from our scripture driven series, “Big Kings Come in Small Packages.” As we focus on four attributes of Christ the King, we pray you would be challenged to be (a little more) like Jesus during a season that can too quickly calls your attention away from him.

Join us on Monday for our first week in advent, Big Kings Come in Small Packages: The King Who Brings Justice.

Come, Thou long expected Jesus
Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us,
Let us find our rest in Thee.
Israel’s Strength and Consolation,
Hope of all the earth Thou art;
Dear Desire of every nation,
Joy of every longing heart.

Born Thy people to deliver,
Born a child and yet a King,
Born to reign in us forever,
Now Thy gracious kingdom bring.
By Thine own eternal Spirit
Rule in all our hearts alone;
By Thine all sufficient merit,
Raise us to Thy glorious throne.
